Swim yourself fit, refresh in the cold pool, relax in the multipurpose pool, slide down the waterslide, or dive with a twist from three meters. At Kuohu, you can organize children’s birthday parties, other celebrations, wellness days, and meetings. With 200,000 annual visits, Kuohu is clearly a great place!
You can reach Kuohu in just half an hour from Tampere, Pälkäne, and Orivesi! TKL bus lines 40–46 run directly to Kangasala, with a 200 m walk from the stop to Kuohu.
The swimming hall building was completed in 2009, and the extension with the waterfall pool was added in 2018. There are various pools and services for many purposes. You’ll enjoy your time at Kuohu!
Kuohu offers all this:
- Lap Pool: 25 m, 6 lanes, 475 m², depth 120–180 cm, temperature 27°C
- Diving Pool: 1 m springboard and 3 m diving tower, depth 400 cm, temperature 27°C
- Teaching Pool: 85 m², depth 60–90 cm, temperature 30°C
- Wading Pool: 10.2 m², depth 20 cm, temperature 30°C
- Cold Pool: 2.7 m², temperature 8°C
- Multipurpose Pool: 98 m², depth 105–140 cm, 3 neck massage stations, 2 massage stations, fixed pool lift, Hydrohex water training device, temperature 30°C
- Waterfall Pool: 120 m², depth 100–145 cm (water level lowered to 75–120 cm), 2 massage stations, climbing wall, waterfall, Hydrohex water training device, temperature 30°C (32°C for baby swimming)
The pools at Kuohu contain approximately 1,200,000 liters of water (including balancing tanks).
- Waterslide: 40 m
- Sauna Areas: 2 traditional saunas on each side
- Changing Rooms: 150 lockers for women, 146 lockers for men
- Private Saunas: 2 saunas with 9 lockers each, accessible facilities, one changing room with a patient lift, adjacent multipurpose pool with a fixed pool lift. A portable pool lift is also available (ask staff for details). Private saunas can be booked for your use during regular opening hours or outside them.
